Visualizing My Experience

A 3-month journey is going to end. I cannot imagine how quickly these 3-month passed. The past three months were the most productive months of my educational life. I learnt lifelong lessons during this time. During Project works, Sessions and Circle meetings Amal taught me the most beautiful lessons of the life. Amal provides the safest learning environment I have ever seen. People appreciate you for little things. Everyone in the session respects each member and his opinion. They motivate you to go extra mile. Usually, during online learning we do not interact much but here at Amal the sessions are interactive. Our facilitators Ma’am Yusra and Ma’am Fatima motivated everyone to participate in the session. The breakout sessions were the most beautiful part where we worked on some tasks for a small period.

During first two weeks of fellowship, I remember there was an activity of “fixing things around me”. In that activity we were asked to fix something around us that we usually ignore. This activity developed a habit of fixing things. After that activity I always try to put things at right place. After that activity, my study table is always well arranged.

One more thing I want to mention that I was unsure about my abilities and did not know much about myself. I was less aware of myself. But with each Project Work and each online zoom interaction with our Program Associate and Manager, I learned new things. I learned how to interact and communicate with people. Amal helped me to discover and develop:

Professional skills (communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking)

Mindsets (growth mindset, self-efficacy, responsibility)

Learning abilities (peer-to-peer learning, self-learning)

I made new friends during the first month. They turned into family. It is not any ordinary classroom; it is a greenfield to practice and play. It is a valley of hope, love, compassion, and positivity. With each passing day, me-a willow tree turned into a crimson rose.

Ma’am Yusra, Ma’am Fatima, and all my fellows made me understand the concept of uniqueness. They taught me non-verbally that only our soul, our mind, and our heart are beautiful. Everything else is their reflection. Acceptance is a matter of our inner self. We cannot learn if we do not understand the importance the purpose of that knowledge.

I wish best of luck to my Amal fellows for future.
